LaRSSA hereby invites your abstract submission for the

13th Annual Conference

16 - 18 September 2026

Tshikwalo Lodge, Dinokeng Nature Reserve, Gauteng

"Land Rehabilitation Progress through Innovation” emphasizes moving beyond traditional, compliance-based approaches toward innovative, collaborative, and adaptive solutions. It highlights the need to integrate new technologies, scientific advances, and inclusive practices to effectively address complex land degradation challenges.

The theme positions innovation as key to achieving meaningful, measurable rehabilitation outcomes - improving ecosystems while also delivering social and economic benefits. It encourages cross-sector collaboration and focuses not just on results, but on doing rehabilitation more efficiently, sustainably, and at scale.

Ultimately, it challenges delegates to rethink conventional methods and showcase impactful, locally relevant innovations that transform rehabilitation from an obligation into an opportunity.
